Sedation Dentistry

To make sure that your dental experience is completely comfortable, Dr. Davis offers a range of sedation dentistry options. He completed a hospital residency and has extensive experience in sedation dentistry, so you can rest assured that you'll be in the best of hands during your dental procedures. Dr. Davis holds membership with the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA), as well. Each week, he provides soothing oral or IV sedation for patients in the comfort and security of our Twin Falls dental office.

For oral conscious sedation, Dr. Davis will prescribe an anxiety-reducing drug to take before your dental procedure. The sedative will make you feel groggy and tired. He may also administer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to enhance the effects of your sedation. You'll snooze comfortably and retain the ability to respond to our team's directions. After your treatment, plan to have someone drive you home, then take off the rest of the day. The following day, you'll have little or no memory of your dental visit.

In some cases, Dr. Davis may recommend IV sedation. With this form of sedation dentistry, a sedative is administered through an IV. We will monitor and regulate the amount of medication you receive, ensuring that you snooze comfortably during your dental procedure.
